What happens if my 2019 Web Series Edition application is successful?

In Phase 1: each successful 2019 Web Series project is eligible to receive one of 40 available $20,000 production grants (available to BC and Alberta residents only) from TELUS to produce their project. The 40 successful projects will also receive distribution on select TELUS platforms, and the producing teams will receive mentorship and training.

Before the funding is awarded, the Project Lead must submit current proof of residency for the address listed on their submission.

If the Project Lead wishes to execute the TELUS Grant Agreement under a company name, they must provide proof of company ownership indicating they own and control at least 51% of the company and that the company is located in their Community of Residence.

In Phase 2: Following full technical delivery of the Web Series Pilot, the 40 successful projects will be eligible to receive one of 2 available $60,000 production grants, (one in BC and one in Alberta) province, to produce a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 additional episodes of their Web Series.

Project Leads as well one member of their team must attend a Creator Workshop on January 25 2020 in Calgary for AB Grant recipients and on January 26, 2020 in Vancouver for BC Grant recipients.

The workshop is a vital part of the STORYHIVE process for successful Project Leads. Travel stipends will be available on a case-by-case basis.
